Save a Cat; Go to Heaven

Those who know me well- know I am a feline lover. I am promoting cat pride! I think people with cats don't want that 'cat-lady' (or man) stigma... If dog lovers can show you photos of their 'babies' - then, I am going to talk about my furry child. O.k. I am taking it a little far- but she truly is a vision in beige isn't she? Anyhoo, recently myself and three friends went to see Cat City a documentary about the feral cat population in Toronto. I don't know if I would recommend the movie per se (it was a bit on the depressing side) but it made for an interesting evening (there were definitely cat ladies in the crowd, you could spot them by their cat t-shirts ahem). The sole purpose of the film was to shed some light on the growing number of cats being euthanized at shelters due to the lack of responsibility amongst pet owners to get their animals fixed. So sad. If you are ever thinking of adopting a pet- a cat or kitten is an amazing choice... cuter than a turtle, more snuggley (is this a word?) than a python and unlike a dog - cats have swagger. Go to a rescue center - you will be paid in purrrrrrrrs
