Real Design

I don't know what this post is about - but don't let that stop you from continuing to read. Still there? Mainly I wanted to share the glory of the new Black Swan posters. There are three in total and they are very beautiful indeed. Why can't all design be like this? This is my favorite. It captures perfectly the eerie vibe of the film and its premise. Now the film has to live up to the poster. It's gonna be tough.

The Selby

Hard to top the last post. But I will try. One of my favorite websites is The Selby. It offers a glimpse into the homes and work spaces of different artists and other interesting folk. I love the variety and how personal each one is. It is fascinating to see the objects/colours people choose to surround themselves with. I am in the midst of creating a new space and I am trying to purge anything that I don't love or really need. It is truly a challenge - I lean towards a more is more philosophy. When you move all your belongings up three flights of stairs minimalism starts looking a lot more attractive. I am in need of great tips for small spaces- so if you have any pass them along.

Hero Babies and Their Pets

You know what's better (I use the word 'better' loosely) than the parent's of pageant children? Pet owners who dress up their pets in creepy outfits. You know what's even better than that- parents who dress their babies to match their pets - in creepy costume outfits. True genius. What is happening in this picture? A whole lot of awesomeness. How regal is that lab batman? How golden is that super canine. Don't even get me started on that super-baby...He makes me almost want to pro-create. Soak it in. And you're welcome.

On the Pursuit of Happiness

Bonjour! So first I apologize, I let you down man- I let you down. Here I was filling your sails with some hot air about all the sweet fun-times blogging I was going to do and then...well, I moved. It was a big move- that involved a new job and a new province...and so for these reasons it has taken me awhile to get myself back to the keyboard. None of this anything to do with this image below- which I creepily stole off FB. Why? Because the woman on the right has got it all figured out. Doesn't she? I want her secret...if it means I look at this picture once a day- I will figure out by-golly (yes, by-golly I am using by-golly) how she is smiling with her whole body. and if I am really lucky I will also get myself a sweet jacket like that to wear that says, 'Hey life is beautiful." Glad to be back with you!
