Fall (I am not rushing it in - but it will come) is the best time for fashion. It is a small consolation prize for saying so long to patio season. I have noticed, call it the recession or the Mad Men effect, a return to classics. The coat above caught my eye from Club Monaco's window as I journeyed home on the streetcar. I love the twist on this traditional button front fall coat with the three tonal hues acting as the visual interest and the raglan sleeves. I had all but built a new wardrobe around it - imagining all the splendor of falls hues against it (red beret, plum scarf or a great olive classic T with dark slim cut jeans...Alas, it wasn't a winner when I tried it on but it did get me pumped for a little fall reinvention. It will be refreshing to select what I wear in the morning based on something other than to what degree I will sweat in it!
